About Staunton Economic Development

Good economic development is a community-wide initiative that leads to sustainable, economic health.  Economic development involves understanding and nurturing the economic drivers of a locality and ensuring that the community maintains a healthy economic base that can support employment and public revenue needs.

In Staunton, our economic development team helps bridge public and private sector development in an effort to create jobs, increase revenue, and enhance the community’s quality of life for the long term.

Bill Hamilton is the Director of Economic Development and Amanda Glover is the Assistant Director of Economic Development.  Bill and Amanda are both members of the International Economic Development Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Southern Economic Development Council, and the Virginia Economic Developers Association.
